General Danao Condemned Police Involved in Illegal Drugs and Robbery Activities
National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) PM General Vicente Danao Jr. condemned police officials who were involved in illegal drugs and robbery.
During Danao’s command visit to the Manila Police District (MPD) headquarters, MPR personnel were scolded. The general poured out his anger on some policemen for their involvement in illegal activities such as drugs and holdups.
Danao specifically mentioned the five policemen who implicated the Chinese involved in illegal drugs and in the said operation they pocketed P40 million. When asked if he was referring to the MPD police ranks and if he was a high-ranking official, Danao only replied “as long as he is in the NCRPO”.

Danao also warned that there are only two options for corrupt police officers, one of whom is to retire or AWOL because he said he will not allow corrupt people to trample on PNP uniforms.
Danao also issued an ultimatum to all police while he was in the NCRPO. It also ensured that he would not charge the five policemen but would reprimand them.
In the past few weeks, many police officials were caught involved with illegal activities. Law enforcers abusing their powers were arrested for protecting illegal drug trading.
Other police officers were involved in extortion inside their station. Other police officials are using their powers for fun and to abuse innocent and people who have not done anything to them.
