Mandaue City Sent 7 Newly Hired Nurses for Rescue Training
Seven newly hired nurses in Mandaue City government have undergone rescue training after their contracts end as contact tracers.
On Saturday (February 13, 2021), the Mandaue City’s Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office operations head Felix Suico Jr. said that their newly hired nurses have undergone a rescue training.
The Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) previously hired the nurses as former contact tracers and were hired by the Mandaue City government to assign in various ambulances.
The Department of Health (DOH) requires the nurses to undergo rescue training to obtain the knowledge on how to respond to accidents and disasters. Currently, Mandaue City’s DRRMO has two nurses.
The health workers would undergo high angle, basic firefighting, crash and other rescue-related skills. The training would end on Saturday and will start their duty on Monday (February 15, 2021).

A nurse named Mariel Enriquez admitted that the training is quite different from what she was used to. The training would surely help the health workers to perform their task properly, which is to save lives.
