Despite many years after Rico Yan’s death, Claudine Barretto has this confession.
CLAUDINE BARRETTO – In an interview session, Optimum Star Claudine Barretto shares why she seems still affected with Rico Yan’s death.
Among the most iconic love teams and a real-life couple in the show business industry is Claudine Barretto and late actor Rico Yan. The cause of his death is acute hemorrhagic pancreatitis which happened on March 29, 2002. He was just found dead inside his room.
And in a vlog of her good friend Janelle Jamer, she was asked random questions about her life from the past to the present. She was asked about her past relationships, her plans of adopting another child, what she’s looking for in a man, and among other things. And this conversation led to the the late actor and what they had before.
One of the questions to her is: “Bakit hanggang ngayon sobrang apektado ka pa rin kay Rico Yan? Dahil ba mahal mo pa siya o merong parte sa puso mo na meron kang pagsisisi?”
In full honesty she answered that both reasons were both because she still loves him roughly 2 decades after his death and she believed that her love for him will always be there. And what she regretted about is she could have done something to be with him a bit longer and to be there with him when it happened.
To recall, Claudine and Ryan starred in the hit series “Mula Sa Puso” and “Saan Ka Man Naroroon” and top-billed movies like “Dahil Mahal Na Mahal Kita” and “Got 2 Believe”. Years after being single, she admitted in a vlog that she is now ready for a new romance.
What she wanted and looking for in a man is someone who is presentable and someone who has a strong stance over their relationship. As per her children, she doesn’t have any more plans to adopt another one but she is not closing her doors if God would give her a chance to bear a child – her biological child.
