Bureau of Customs Destroys and Turn Smuggled Luxury Vehicles into Scraps

Ten smuggled luxury vehicles manufactured by world famous brands were destroyed by Bureau of Customs (BOC) on their anniversary.

On BOC’s 119th anniversary celebration, they destroy ten smuggled luxury cars manufactured by Bentley, Mercedez Benz, and Porsche. This is sending a stern warning to smugglers that the agency means business.

The supercars parked were repeatedly rammed using an excavator until it turns into scraps at the Customs headquarters in Manila. Based on the report of the Manila Bulletin, the supercars were seized on different occasions since 2015.

Among the crushed vehicles is used Ford F-150 Super SVT Can Raptor Pick Up, a brand new 2015 Toyota Landcruiser, and a used 2007 Bentley Continental GT, which were seized at the Manila International Container Port (MICP) in August 2015, November 2017, and January 2019.

Five units of used luxury vehicles such as Land Rover 2012, Range Rover Evoque 2019, Porsche 911, Mercedes Benz, and Alfa Romeo intercepted at the Port of Cebu in 2019 were also destroyed.

Other condemned vehicles include a brand new Hyundai Starex and one used Renault Black Van seized at the Port of Manila in February 2020. The smuggled supercars rammed off was among the highlights of their anniversary celebration.
