Filipinos Don’t Deserve To Hear Rude Remarks From Public Servants – Leni Robredo

LENI ROBREDO – Vice president Leni Robredo said the Filipinos did not deserve to hear rude remarks from public servants.

On Sunday, Vice President Leni Robredo snapped back at Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque for denying that they are prioritizing their “propaganda” over their coronavirus response.

In her Sunday radio program called ‘Serbisyong Leni,’ she did not mince words in criticizing the spox’s comment. She said she was used to how she was being criticized but the Filipinos don’t deserve to hear rude remarks from public servants.

Leni Robredo said it was disheartening that the Filipino people have to put up with the government officials who are rude. She also pointed out that some of them speak before the public and say “unnecessary” words.

In her radio program last week, Leni Robredo said the government should be more proactive with its pandemic response instead of its “propaganda.” The day after, Harry Roque said the vice president should thank the frontliners for doing their job. He also denied that they are focusing on “red-tagging” instead of defending the Philippine territory from China.

Robredo said she always respected the role of the health care workers and they have been assisting them. “’Yung opisina namin grabe ‘yung suporta sa kanila (health workers), sila ‘yung araw-araw, sila ‘yung sumasabak. At pag hindi tama ‘yung response ng gobyerno, lalo natin silang papahirapan,” she said.
