This is how Bea Alonzo started her career in showbiz
Actress-vlogger Bea Alonzo revealed how she was discovered to become part of the Philippine entertainment industry.
Several showbiz personalities were discovered by their managers or talent scouts in unexpected situations. On the other hand, there were also those who really tried their chances by auditioning.
In the case of Bea, she revealed in her recently uploaded vlog that her career in showbiz started in a pageant.
Answering the most-asked questions about her on Google, the actress shared her start as a celebrity. Bea Alonzo said that when she joined the Mutya ng Pasig beauty pageant and she was Binibining Santolan in 2001.
One of the judges in that local pageant was designer Oskar Peralta. Is so happened that the designer is the best friend of Archie Ilagan who became the manager of Bea.
Then, her manager made her audition in the ABS-CBN talent center that is known now as Star Magic. “Nakasabay ko si Ms. Mariole Alberto. She asked me if I want to audition and the rest was history,” Bea shared.
She became a talent of Star Magic from 2002 to 2020. However, in November last year, it was announced that she already left the talent management of the Kapamilya network.
ABS-CBN released an official statement on this saying that the company respects the decision of the actress as she named Shirley Kuan as her manager now.
In the same recent vlog of Bea Alonzo she also mentioned about this. She proudly said that it is a milestone that Star Magic has handled her for 20 years.
