Here’s what Sharon Dacera answered to the recent issue being thrown at her
Christine Dacera’s mother Sharon Dacera reacted to the allegation regarding the P2-million insurance claim.
Following the death of Christine, a flight attendance who was found lifeless in her hotel room on Janaury 1, her mother has been the topic of various reports.
Although the investigation of the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) stated that there has no sufficient evidence to say that it was a “rape-slay case”, Sharon insisted that her daughter was abused.
Her determination to find justice for her daughter is being admired by many but there are also those who criticized her statements and her gestures, especially in front of the camera.
Previously, netizens slammed her for saying that Christine was a “sacrificial lamb”. Sharon Dacera’s video showing that she appeared to change her emotion so quickly received comments from netizens saying that she is the new Thelma Chiong.
In a recent interview by Boy Abunda, based on the article from PEP, Sharon was asked about the alleged P2-million insurance claim after the death of her daughter.
“Para sa akin, Sir Boy, hindi insurance ang pinag-uusapan natin dito, yung hustisya para sa anak ko. Puwede siguro akong mangutang ng two million pesos, mabuhay pa kaya nila si Christine, yun ang tanong ko?” she said.
Atty. Brix Reyes, the lawyer of Sharon, said that the insurance has not been applied for by the Dacera family. It is because they are disputing the certificate of death of Dr. Sarmiento.
“In order to be able to apply for benefits, you have to submit a certificate of death to the insurance company. We did not have that certificate of death approved by the Civil Registry of Makati because we dispute the findings. Otherwise, we would have implied they have accepted the findings,” the lawyer explained.
Atty. Reyes added that Sharon Dacera has not received a single centavo from the alleged policy.
