The COVID-19 pandemic has greatly affected the delivery of education in the Philippines. Until now, face to face classes are still not allowed as the threats of the coronavirus disease are still present.

Also, the current school year has not right away started last June 2020. Usually, it is on the 6th month of the year that the school calendar begins. However, due to the pandemic, it was moved in preparation for a new scheme of learning.

Nowadays, blended learning is adapted in the delivery of education to the students. Teaching happens through modules and online classes.

Truths be told that the blended learning is a challenge not only for students but as well as teachers. Not everyone is used to using computers and the technology thus there are really a lot of adjustments.

Also, not all teachers have laptops or at least an access to technologies they can use in delivering the lessons. Fortunately, in Tanauan, Batangas, the local government gave free laptops to public school teachers.

Based on a report on ABS-CBN News, around 1,600 public school teachers in Tanauan, Batangas received free laptops from the LGU to be used for the blended learning. According to Mayor Angeline Halili, she used the special education fund of the city for the procurement of the laptops to be given to the teachers.

Reportedly, aside from the free laptops, the educators also received headset and external hard drive from the LGU. They are really thankful to have been provided with the things they need in teaching the students.
