Here’s what Lauren Dyogi said about artists who left Star Magic

New Star Magic head Lauren Dyogi reacted to artists who left the talent management firm of ABS-CBN and he mentioned “loyalty”.

Dyogi replaced Mariole Alberto’s position. However, Johnny Manahan or Mr. M handled Star Magic several years before he resigned and transferred to TV5.

In 2020 and years prior to that, several artists who were under the Kapamilya talent management company went to other management arms. “There are a few artists who left last year, most notable are Julia Barretto and Bea Alonzo,” Dyogi said, based on the article from PEP.

Julia is now under Viva Artists Agency while Bea is being managed by veteran talent manager Shirley Kuan. Mccoy De Leon also signed a contract with Viva last year.

When asked if there is a “loyalty check” among the talents who most of them consider Mr. M as a father figure. One of them was Maja Salvador who is still under Star Magic but did a show on TV5 to accompany her “tatay-tatayan” and left ASAP Natin ‘To.

“I have spoken to most of the artists but I cannot expect everyone to be loyal to me or Star Magic or even ABS-CBN,” Lauren Dyogi said. He added that every artist has his or her own reason for staying or leaving and this depends on their current needs and circumstances.

“We just need to give each other the courtesy and respect to express our decisions and the choices we make. Relationships are built on trust and that takes time,” the Star Magic head stressed.

Being the new head of the ABS-CBN talent management firm, Lauren Dyogi is optimistic about helping their talents dream to be successful in showbiz. “I am committed to the work,” he firmly said.
