Rosanna and Maui Reacts to Victim Blaming Against Women Harassment

Former rated X stars Rosanna Roces, Maui Taylor, Alma Moreno, and Ara Mina reacts to victim-blaming against women harassment nowadays.

Nowadays, the issue of sexual harassment and victim-blaming have been a heated discussion online. It is sad to think that in order to pour support for women who are victims of harassment, others are even blaming them.

Others claim allegedly because of their dress so that happens to them. Some blame the theme of the movie, so men think of those kinds of illegal activities.

Meanwhile, Rosanna Roces, Ara Mina, Maui Taylor, and Alma Moreno, the stars of the new rated x movie directed by Darryl Yap, reacts to the controversial issue about victim-blaming. In the digital interview of the “Paglaki Ko Gusto Kong Maging P*RNSTAR” stars, they said that instead of sympathizing with the victims, it seems to be blaming them.

Alma said that wearing shorts in public is now normal. She emphasized that the important thing woman should do is to act normally in public. It based on a woman’s personality how they are reprimanded.

“Ang importante lang, pag naka-short ka, wag ka lang bumukaka nang husto. Pero hindi yon sa pananamit, kundi nasa personal ng isang babae paano ka respetuhin, pero hindi dahil nagpaseksi ka, babastusin ka na,” said Alma.

Osang then said that there’s no reason to be harassed over whatever women wear. “Nasa tao yan na tumitingin sa atin o sa isang babae kung paano niya itatrato ang babae,” she said.

She further said, “the way siguro paano niya itrato nanay niya o kapatid niya, ganun dapat, matter of upbringing talaga.” She also defends that rated x movies do not invite men to harass women.

Osang even blamed alcohol or drugs that forcing men to harass women. Meanwhile, Ara agreed that movies like their upcoming movie are not the reason to prompt men for thinking such things.

“Tama yon, wala sa pelikula yon, pananamit, kahit balot ka, kahit naka-abaya ka, kung wala sa tamang pag-iisip ang lalake, mari-reyp pa rin ang babae, kahit hindi inviting ang itsure ng mga babae, may mga lalake pa rin na iba ang tingin,” Ara said.

Maui also said, “Una kung nasa tamang pag-iisip ka, hindi mo gagawin yon. Usually naman lahat ng isyu ng reyp dito sa Pilipinas, dahil lasing nagsimula. Wala sa frame of mind kaya nagagawa yon. So, wala sa movie, o pananamit yan.”
