Vivian Velez Slammed Bill Filed Renewing ABS-CBN Network Franchise

Veteran actress Vivian Velez reacts to the bill being pushed in the congress that aims to renew the franchise of ABS-CBN network.

Vivian Velez is a known supporter of the current administration and would sometimes hit famous personalities who go against. She is also one of the personality who agree to abolish franchise renewal of one of the media giant in the country ABS-CBN network.

Recently, in her Facebook post, she shared the video of an interview with a DDS and one of the opponents of ABSCBN franchise renewal Sagip Partylist Representative Rodante Marcoleta about filing a bill for ABSCBN’s new franchise.

“An expired franchise cannot be the subject of a renewal… di naman ako senador, ba’t alam ko ‘to tsk tsk tsk. Parang ‘iskol bukol’ lang ang peg nila, ngek!…Korek po, Cong Marcoleta!” wrote Vivian in her caption.

In December, Buhay Partylist and Deputy Speaker Lito Atienza give hope of renewing the ABS-CBN franchise in 2021. According to the congressman, he is confident that the House leadership will end the injustice done to the Kapamilya network.

In the Senate, Senate President Tito Sotto on January 4, filed a bill aimed at giving ABS-CBN another fresh 25-year franchise. This was followed by the House of Representatives while Lipa Rep. Is scheduled to file. Vilma Santos-Recto the counterpart bill.
