AWOL Police in Iloilo Accused of Abuse and Attempted Homicide Arrested
AWOL POLICE- Former police from Iloilo who absent without official leave with standing warrant of arrest arrested.
After more than a decade of hiding after allegedly molesting an 18-year-old female housemaid in Iloilo, members of the Philippine National Police Anti-Kidnapping Group in Pampanga arrested the police suspect.
According to PNP, Chief, Police General Debold Sinas, Leonaldo Salagumba Soberano, 58, was wanted in the case of sexual abuse and attempted homicide. Police arrested Soberano in his hiding place at No. 863 Corner Diamond and Petal Sts, Brgy San Agustin, San Fernando City, Pampanga.

Members of the PNP-AKG recovered from the accused a cal.45 Norinco pistol and an airsoft electric gun. It is learned that Soberano has been AWOL since 2010 after the court issued a warrant of arrest against him after he took advantage of his domestic helper, based on the report of Radyo Bandera.
Meanwhile, a child abuse suspect in Davao City was shot to death after snatching the police gun. A suspect of child abuse to his own kid died as he suddenly grabbed a gun when they passed the desk officer.
