Netizens tagged Christine Dacera’s mother as the next Thelma Chiong
The name of Thelma Chiong became a trending topic on Twitter on January 8 due to Sharon Dacera, the mother of Christine Dacera.
Netizens have been comparing Sharon and Thelma as mothers of the “victims”. To recall, the latter is the mother of Marijoy and Jacqueline Chiong who were reportedly raped and killed. Until now, some believe that there was something suspicious with the result of the case years ago.

In 2019, there were even speculations that surfaced saying that the Chiong Sisters are still alive. The recent controversial death of the 23-year-old flight attendant made netizens recall Thelma Chiong because of the Sharon Dacera.
Many netizens expressed negative reactions when this part of Sharon’s interview circulated online. The mother of Christine was apparently saying that what happened was really painful and it looked like she was crying. However, netizens were shocked that her emotion suddenly shifted.

On the other hand, there were also those who defended Sharon Dacera against the negative comments.
Sharon Dacera also received criticism from the online community when she said that her daughter was a “sacrificial lamb”. She expressed that what happened to Christine Dacera was enough as she does not want it to happen to others again.
