Vaccinations For Coronavirus To Possibly Start As Early As March Says DOH

COVID-19 VACCINATIONS – According to the Department of Health, coronavirus vaccine distribution to the public may start in March.

Amid the controversial early vaccination issues in the Philippines, the public asks “What about us?”. Recently, news of the President’s security group and members of the AFP getting inoculated with the COVID-19 vaccine went viral.

The PSG and AFP said they took the Sinopharm vaccine. However, they denied disclosing where the vaccine came from. Meanwhile, when it came to the public’s turn to get the vaccine, DOH Secretary Francisco Duque III said:

He added that around March until the seconder quarter, vaccinations would be rolled out to the public. Furthermore, Duque said that they won’t stop until they hit the 60-70 percent population herd immunity.

Following this, Duque expressed hopes for the Philippines the moment the public vaccinations start. He believes that when the Filipino get vaccinated, there won’t be any more problems in the country.

Additionally, he said that there was a formula to determine who would be first to get inoculated with the vaccines. Duque explains that there was five categories: Healthcare Workers, Elderly, Those with underlying health conditions, Poor Families, and lastly, AFP or PNP.

However, during Duque’s interview with ABS-CBN, he failed to disclose which vaccine the public would be getting. But previously, the Philippines’ vaccine czar said it would give priority to China’s Sinovac vaccine.
