Duterte Says No Mercy Against Drug Dealers, They Deserved to be Burn

President Rodrigo Roa Duterte still tough and still shows no mercy against the drug dealers and kidnappers saying they deserved to be burn down.

On his televised address Monday, the tough-talking President said that these lawless elements deserved to doused with gasoline and set on fire as he defended his campaign against illegal drugs and criminality.

“Ngayon, itong mga drug lords pati mga kidnapper, drug pusher, ganoon, dalhin ninyo sa hindi masyado — wala masyadong taong maiskandalo. Buhusan ninyo ng gasolina at sindihan ninyo. Iyan ang dapat sa mga tao na ‘yan,” Duterte said.

Duterte No Mercy

The president also stressed his determination to kill those who are destroying his country as he pointed out human rights group who are against on his drug war campaign.

“I said do not destroy my country. And if you destroy the youth of my land, you are destroying my country. So that I will kill you. Totoo ‘yan,” he said.

Aside from that, Duterte also criticized the International Criminal Court (ICC) for allegedly interfering in the country’s affairs. He accused the ICC of being crazy at prosecuting him while local courts were working.

According to the report of Manila Bulletin, the President, former mayor of Davao City, launched a controversial war on drugs, which claimed 5,000 lives at the beginning of his term.

Duterte took a firm stand against drug dealers, reiterating the threat of killing them for destroying people’s lives. He also previously told police to use force if their lives were put in danger during anti-crime operations.

Some rights groups here and abroad have condemned alleged extrajudicial killings and other rights abuses associated with the anti-drug crackdown. A preliminary inquiry into drug-related deaths was initiated by the ICC prosecutor in 2018.

The ICC prosecutor recently reported that they found reasonable grounds to believe that alleged crimes against humanity were committed in the drug war of Duterte. A decision is set to be made early next year if it will ask for a formal investigation into the matter.
