Actress Janella Salvador said in her recent Twitter post that “Filipinos are the worst body shamers” and this received various reactions from netizens.
In the fourth quarter of 2020, Janella created a loud buzz on social media. It is because of the revelation of her relationship with Markus Paterson and the speculations that she is already pregnant.
Photos of her and her boyfriend were given different meaning and interpretation but it all went to one speculation, that she will be a mother soon.
Amid the pregnancy rumors, netizens took notice of Janella’s physical being. Some said that she is “tumaba” which is being attributed to being pregnant. Previously, she answered those bashers who are saying that she is hiding her pregnancy.
Just recently, in her tweet, Janella Salvador addressed the Filipinos who love to express their thoughts which are already fall into “body shaming”.
“Filipinos are the worst body shamers. Let me enjoy my christmas pudding in peace. Happy holidays to you too!” the actress wrote. This post of Janella received various reactions from her Twitter followers.
There were netizens who expressed empathy to her and said that she should not just mind those kind of people. “Sampalin mo ng pudding, Jea! Sobrang ganda mo shuta! I love you, sana payag ka pa rin na mag-kamukha tayo,” Twitter user @diazalicia13 consoled her.
Another netizen agreed with what Janella said. “Wag mo naman nilalahat ng FILIPINO! Pero kasi TOTOO naman,” Twitter user @superbon1994 commented.
For many fans of Janella Salvador, the body shaming comments from her bashers are just proof of “inggit”. On the other hand, there were netizens who said that the actress looks good in her photos on Instagram.
