Service Crew Who Went Viral After Graduating Magna Cum Laude is Now Part of Army

Lady service crew who previously went viral on social media after graduating as Magna Cum Laude is now part of the Philippine Army.

Cherry Toledo who was previously a service crew in McDonald’s became viral last 2019 after she graduated Magna Cum Laude in Cebu City. She finished with a degree in Bachelor of Science in Psychology at the University of San Jose Recoletos in Cebu City.

According to her story, Cherry lived with her grandmother at 18 years old as her parents could no longer support her. Initially, her aunt paid for her tuition fees so she could continue her studies, however, the support ended due to unfortunate circumstances.

Despite being a recipient of a scholarship from Aboitiz, Cherry still needed money for her daily expenses and boarding house. Cherry didn’t let poverty get in the way of her dream of finishing college.

She shares that she works at 6 PM and finishes at 12 midnight. With hard work and sheer determination, Cherry graduated cum laude. As a proud hardworking student, Cherry poses in her graduation photo wearing her service crew uniform.

And now, Cherry proudly announces another achievement in her life. On December 22, she shares on her Facebook post that she is now part of the Philippine Army. Cherry surprised many after announcing how she is grateful to be part of Philippine Army Class Baghawian.

Cherry wrote on Facebook, “Started from the bottom now we here! They never thought that the future leader of the Philippine Army shall emerge from a small lady like me. To my dearest classmates turned siblings, stay alive!”
