Defense Secretary Lorenzana Urges Public to Follow Health Protocols During Holiday Celebration Amid Health Crisis
Defense Secretary Delfin Lorenzana is urging the public to follow the health protocols during Christmas celebration.
Lorenzana advised the public to obey the quarantine guidelines and safety protocols for safer celebration of Christmas and New Year amid the threat of the coronavirus pandemic. He also wants everybody to unite to prevent the further spread of COVID-19.
The official admitted that the Philippines and even various countries all around the world have been facing numerous challenges and struggles throughout this 2020 due to the effects of the health crisis.
“Bilang inyong Kalihim ng Kagawaran ng Tanggulang Pambansa, hinihiling ko na maging ligtas ang bawat pamilyang Pilipino sa ating pagdiriwang ng Kapaskuhan at pagsalubong sa bagong taon,” Lorenzana said.
The politician also mentioned the natural calamities such as typhoons, flooding, and landslides that hit the Philippines. Aside from the pandemic, the calamities also took thousands of lives but people must be strong to overcome those challenges.
The Department of National Defense also ensured the safety and protection of Filipino against any threats in the country.
“Makakaasa naman ang sambayanan na ang inyong One Defense Team ay patuloy na magsusumikap na makamtan ang kapayapaan sa ating mga komunidad at mapangalagaan ang kaligtasan ng bansa para sa mas maunlad na kinabukasan para sa lahat,” Lorenzana added.
