Robin Padilla contradicts Sen. Joel Villanueva
Action star Robin Padilla slammed the view of Senator Joel Villanueva on the controversial Tarlac incident that involved Police Senior Master Sergeant Jonel Nuezca.
Prominent political personalities have expressed their reactions to the viral video showing Nuesca’s act of shooting a mother and her son after during a heated argument.
Aside from President Rodrigo Duterte and Senator Ping Lacson who condemned the killing, Senator Joel Villanueva also expressed his thoughts regarding the incident.
He said that there is a prevailing culture of impunity among law enforcement agencies in the country and this should not persist. This view of the lawmaker did not sit well with Robin Padilla.
In the recent Instagram post of the action star, he expressed his sympathy to the family of the victims as he is also condemning the wrong deed of the policeman.
“Ngayon naman patungkol sa pahayag na ito. Impunity? WTF are you talking about Senator Villanueva?” Robin wrote in the caption of his post.
Then, the actor shared the definition of the word “impunity” from the dictionary. He stressed that the incident came from the personal anger of a policeman and the whole police force should not involved with it.
“Ibang klase Ka ring Senador isang Karumaldumal na nagawa ng isang off duty policeman naging kultura na kaagad ng lahat ng law enforcement agencies,” Robin said.
He also reiterated the meaning of culture which is “the way of life”. “Burado na pala sa iyo ang Libo libong pagmamalasakit ng mga on duty law enforcement agencies na nag aalay ng kanilang mga buhay,” he added.
In his post, Robin Padilla also stressed that it is a fact that there are a lot of policemen who are doing their duties righteously.
