Is this Maine Mendoza in this viral malicious video?
MAINE MENDOZA – Kapuso actress Maine Mendoza has this clarification and explanation about her alleged video circulating online.
Just recently, celebrity couple Maine Mendoza and Arjo Atayde celebrated their second anniversary and marked it by posting some of their photos together on social media. To recall, the start of their relationship was a bit controversial as it emerged online during the height of AlDub loveteam.
However, as time went by, since their relationship is real, the critical comments about them eventually died down. In time of their anniversary, on the other hand, a video of a woman who has some features similar to Maine surfaced which ignited accusations that she has a video with malicious content.
She reacted to it and immediately clarified that it wasn’t her, dismissing the rumors and heavy accusations. In a reply she made to a Twitter post, she wrote, “Sobrang kamukha ko kinilabutan ako pero hindi ako to!”
The girl in the video that the Kapuso actress posted has similarities to her but only in small details. A closer look at it by those who know Maine will immediately confirm that it’s not her in the video.
Many of her supporters lambasted such acts and accusations. They called out to respect Maine and encouraged her to do something about it. The Kapuso actress is not the only and first famous celebrity to have gotten involved in this type of controversy.
Famous celebrities and personalities are often times the target of fake news due to their status and being known by a lot of people.
