Strange Cloud Formation Spotted at Mount Apo Brings Various Reactions Online
DAVAO CITY – A strange cloud formation spotted at the top of Mount Apo, a stratovolcano in the Philippines, earned various reactions online.
On Facebook, a concerned netizen Jezrail Etil shared photos of a strange clouds formation spotted at the top of Mount Apo. In the photos shown, saucer-shaped clouds are line up which gives Mount Apo an amazing view.
Previously, The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS) clarified the claims that the volcano is waking up. These after a series of earthquakes struck some Mindanao parts.
Meanwhile, netizens were amazed and shocked by the bizarre clouds formed at the volcano. Some say it caused by the volcano while others said it part of extra-terrestrial activity.

However, all these claims are not true. The cloud formation spotted at Mount Apo is a “Lenticular Clouds,” Apo has the lenticular cloud shapes typically form where stable moist air flows over a mountain.
The temperature at the peak of the wave drops to the dew point, moisture in the air can enter to form lenticular clouds. As the moist air moves back into the wave trough, the cloud can evaporate back into the vapor. So the lenticular cloud can appear and disappear quite quickly.
