Six Sachets Of Illegal Drugs Retrieved In Iloilo City

ILOILO CITY – Six sachets of suspected illegal drugs were arrested in Barangay Tanza Timawa Zone II, Iloilo City on Monday evening.

The said illegal drugs were valued at around P 60,000. They were retrieved in a buy bust operation in the said area, according to a report from Panay News.

This also resulted in the arrest of Lovely Penicilla, aged 30 and a resident in the area, who yielded the drugs, according to the police.

Before her capture, she allegedly sold a sold a sachet of suspected illegal drug to a poseur buyer for P1,000. During her arrest, she told cops that she wanted to earn money for her child’s birthday party on December 25.

Based on the report, Penicilla was under police custody and will be facing charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, or also known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

Meanwhile in Davao, a food delivery rider has been arrested by cops also for the alleged proliferation of illegal drugs.

The arrest occurred during frisking and inspection at Gate 1 inside Davao City Jail.

Recovered from the suspect were 17 sachets of illegal drugs, which is worth P27, 000.
