Here’s the full list of 38th Luna Awards winners where Judy Ann Santos led as Best Actress.

38TH LUNA AWARDS – These are the winners of the 38th FAP Luna Awards from various categories where winners will be announced on December 18.

In a previous article, the nominees for the 38th Film Academy of the Philippines (FAP) Luna Awards were announced last December 10. The Film Academy of the Philippines made the announcement digitally through through the Facebook page and YouTube channel.

Now, as they finally announced the winners on Friday night, the war drama “Mindanao” was named as the best picture. The said film dominated the list by having six of the 12 available awards. Aside from the best picture award, the film also won other awards such as best actress (Judy Ann Santos), best director (Brillante Mendoza), best musical scoring, best screenplay, and best cinematography.

Also, the film “Mindanao” is the country’s official entry for the International Feature Film category of the 93rd Academy Awards. For the best actor award, it was earned by teen actor Jansen Magpusao for his role in “John Denver Trending” where he played the role of a cyber-bullied student.

  • Best Sound Design: Nicole Amores & RJ Cantos (“Cleaners”)
  • Best Musical Scoring: Teresa Barrozo (“Mindanao”)
  • Best Editing: Marya Ignacio (“Hello, Love, Goodbye”)
  • Best Production Design: Alvin Francisco (“Edward”)
  • Best Cinematography: Odyssey Flores (“Mindanao”)
  • Best Screenplay: Honeylyn Joy Alipio (“Mindanao”)

Special awards: 

  • Lamberto Avellana Memorial Award: German Moreno
  • FPJ Memorial Award: Nick Lizaso
