The engagement announcement of long time couple Jessy Mendiola and Luis Manzano has finally happened and it certainly is something that many people have been waiting for. Vilma Santos, the mother of Lucky and Batangas 6th District Representative, is one of the persons happy for them.
She said during an interview that she’s been persuading her son to settle down soon as he is not getting any younger. The Star For All Season then added about her future daughter-in-law, “Nakita ko, yung mahal niya talaga si Lucky. Mahal niya ang anak ko. Isa sa mga na appreciate ko she’s a very prayerful person, nagro-rosary iyan everyday.”
However, in terms of their controversial engagement ring, Jessy narrated the story in her latest vlog. She clarified the air after Radiant Lux Jewelry complained for being not credited over their work. Accordingly, she has this friend of her who she said ruined her moment for this milestone of her relationship.
Her friend let her wear and dropped the information to her about the engagement ring at the time when she and Luis broke up. She shared that everything in their relationship went rocky leading them to break up in May of this year.
And this friend of her ruined her supposed to be magical moment. She furthered in her vlog, “Can you imagine the feeling ng isang babae na hindi kayo ayos ng boyfriend mo tapos pinasuot sa iyo iyong ring? Na naisip mo what could have been na if OK kaya kami ni Luis, magpro-propose kaya siya?”
Angrily, she added, “Nawala sa amin ‘yung feeling of excitement na luluhod ‘yung lalaki sa harap mo, kinakabahan, hindi niya alam anong sasabihin sa ‘yo, tapos tatanungin ka niya ng, ‘Will you marry me?’ Nawala sa amin ‘yun.”
She was in tears and emotional as she narrated this story in her supposed to be lively vlog. This is her response to an accusatory statement put out by jewelry company. After they got back together, they decided to reset the ring as their way to erase the bad memory it holds and for them to move forward.
