8 Women Arrested for Selling Medicines Supposed for Dialysis Patients 

National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) arrest eight (8) women suspects after learned that they are selling the medicines supposed to be for dialysis patients.

In a report of GMA News, the NBI Special Task Force immediately carried out the arrest when the marked money was given to their target. The eight women arrested yields boxes of medicines supposed to be for patients who undergo dialysis.

Women Selling Dialysis Medicines

According to the NBI STF, the boxes of medicines were obtained by the suspects from the National Kidney Transplant and Institute (NKTI). They are using the required guarantee letters from senators and congressmen.

However, instead of giving the medicines to the dialysis patient, they sell them for profit. The NKTI and Senate immediately approached the NBI STF the modus operandi of the group, which immediately conducted case build-up and surveillance operations.

“Sa walo pong hinuli natin, isa lang po ang totoong may sakit. Pero ang yung isang nahuli natin patay na po ang pasyente nila, pero tuloy-tuloy parin ho ang pagkuha nila ng tulong,” said Atty. Bernard Dela Cruz, Executive officer of NBI Special Task Force.

Women Selling Dialysis Medicines

According to the detainees, for each drug they get, they sold worth twenty to thirty pesos per client which is directly opposite the NKTI. One of the arrested said that they claim ten to fifteen guarantee letters a month, which cost fifty to one hundred thousand a month.

The suspect added, the NKTI usually gives six boxes of medicines, the suspect keeps one box and the five boxes are for sale. The other accomplice allegedly did not refuse the crime except for one who said that he and his shop were only affected.
