48 NBA Players Positive For COVID-19 As Season Set To Start

48 Out Of 546 NBA Players Tests Positive For COVID-19

COVID-19 IN THE NBA – 48 NBA players tested positive for the new coronavirus, as teams prepare to kick-off the 2020-21 season.

With the season starting on December 22, the league started its “initial return-to-market testing phase”. As such, between Nov. 24 and Nov. 30, the NBA tested 546 players. Of that number, 48 tested positive.

Still, any player who tested positive would be placed under isolation until cleared of symptoms under league rules. Previously, the league had problems with keeping its “bubble” environment at Walt Disney World COVID-19 free.

However, there are several challenges within other North American leagues amid the coronavirus pandemic. With the exception of the Toronto Raptors, teams will play in their home markets this season. Along with this individual player workouts would begin this week and group workouts beginning Sunday.
