Subpoena Officer In Tayasan, Negros Oriental Shot To Death

SUBPOENA OFFICER IN TAYASAN – A subpoena officer was recently gunned down by two unknown assailants in Tayasan, Negros Oriental.

The police identified the victim as Roger Serna, aged 57. Serna was a subpoena officer of the Municipal Circuit Trial Court (MCTC) in the aforementioned town, as well as in Jimalalud town, according to the Manila Bulletin.

Chief Master Sgt. Edelberto Euroba III, Negros Oriental police public information officer said that the victim was on his way home on board a motorcycle when he was tailed by assailants, whose identity are yet unknown.

As Serna slowed down on a speed bump, the assailants shot him several times and fled away from the scene.

Serna sustained several gunshot wound, resulting in his immediate death. Retrieved from the scene of the crime were six cartridges of .45 caliber, and a deformed slug, based on the report.

Police are currently conducting further investigation to determine the motive behind the killing of the subpoena officer.

The cop succumbed to multiple gunshot wounds while being treated at a hospital in Molo district, Iloilo.

The policeman was assigned as a poseur buyer in an entrapment operation in Barangay Abilay, Oton.

The suspect shot the cop upon knowing that he was about to sell drugs to authorities.
