Rachel Peters Saves Drowning Man Learning to Surf in CamSur
Miss Universe Philippines 2017 Rachel Peters earned praise online after she saves the life of a drowning man learning to surf in Camarines Sur.
The beauty queen’s fiancé, Camarines Sur Governor Migz Villafuerte used Instagram to share that Peters risk her life to save a surfing student drowning. Even though she knew her life was in danger, she still rescued the man.
According to his post, the beauty queen dives and ignores the strong waves in the ocean of Siruma, Camarines Sur. The young politician posted a photo of Rachel carrying a Pomeranian dog on IG and next to her was the man she rescued.
He added that even though his girl, Peters, was a surfer, he was still nervous with her breath-taking actions. That’s why he is very proud of his fiancé.
“So proud of my girl @rachelpetersx for saving this guy’s life who got caught in a strong riptide earlier! very close call [praying hands emoji].
“The ocean is a whole different world and learning surfing the right way, with the right people is the best way to know the ocean!” the governor wrote in his IG post.

Meanwhile, in a Facebook post by a netizen named Christopher Dionisio, he also recounted Rachel’s rescue of the person she called Topheng. Here you can see a picture of Rachel swimming on the surfboard and how it saved the man.
The FB user said in his post, “Drowning barber X miss universe. Dehins sya nagduwang isip guys na magbalik sa lineup para sagipun c topheng dawa may nagpupurugul saiya, nasa pang pang na sya pahawas na sya.”
Meanwhile, Rachel and Migz are engaged and currently based in Camarines Sur. The governor proposed in November 2019. The wedding of the two was supposed to be scheduled this year but they did not continue it because of the pandemic.
