Madelyn Regino, the wife of OPM singer April Boy Regino who passed away just recently, thanked President Rodrigo Duterte due to this reason.
The music industry mourned the death of the singer who popularized the iconic song Di Ko Kayang Tanggapin. April Boy had been suffering from various medical conditions before he died.
With his battle, his family and friends continued to be there for him and support him. Based on the article from The Philippine Star, President Duterte has been supporting the late singer also when it comes to the financial aspect.
The wife of April Boy Regino shared in her Facebook post that the Chief executive was sending money every month. “Maraming Salamat sa aming Mahal na Mahal na Pangulo Duterte na Mula Noon Hanggang Sa Huling Laban Ng Buhay Na Aking Mahal na Mahal na Asawa Idol April Boy Regino ay hindi niya ito binitawan,” Madelyn said.
She also revealed that she even during the time when the President was still the Mayor of Davao City, he has been sending financial help to April Boy.
Madelyn also thanked Senator Bong Go for paying respect to his husband, as well as other people who did the same.
“Gayundin sa aming Mahal na Senator Bong Go at sa lahat ng nakiramay sa unang gabi at sa lahat ng nakikisampatiya sa fb,messenger, celpon, you tube,mga babasahin at sa ibat ibang programa sa telebisyon at radyo na binigyan siya ng tribute Maraming Salamat po,” she wrote.
One of the photos that the wife of April Boy Regino posted on Facebook showed that the singer was wearing his trademark cap and outfit.
