Cheap Pillows in Cavite Sold for P50 Contains Used Disposable Face Masks

CHEAP PILLOWS- Pillows in Carmona, Cavite sold for P50 each brought fear to residents amid the pandemic as it contains used disposable masks.

As the contagious disease COVID-19 continues to drag on, health experts strongly recommend wearing face masks. They also suggest that if you are using disposable face masks you have to use them once.

Health experts also advise people to destroy disposable face masks before throwing as many inconsiderate people who take advantage and recycles used face masks for their evil doings and businesses.

Recently, Camona, Cavite Facebook group exposed a filthy and dangerous cheap pillow business. Many have been persuaded to buy pillows sold by the retailer who has been roaming the houses because of its cheap price.

However, customers later discovered that the contents were not cotton or foam, but used face masks. The cheap pillow sold for P50 brought fears to the resident in the city.

Aside from the possible infection of COVID-19 if those masks were used by carriers, the face masks are considered hazardous waste and must be disposed properly due to the chemical and hazardous ingredients.

Jovelyn Sarmiento Gabelo shared, “Maging aware po tayong lahat sa mga bumili ng unan sa halagang 50 pesos sa mga naglalako diyan. Ang laman po ng unan ay mga gamit na face mask! Maraming sakit po ang makukuha natin dito. Isa na ang COVID-19.”

According to Gabelo, they have neighbors in Barangay Uno Extension, Carmona, Cavite that have brought those cheap pillows. Netizens and fellow residents express resentment and condemn the retailer who sold those pillows.
