Heart Evangelista elaborated on the “mental health issues” that she went through
Kapuso star Heart Evangelista shared the details on how she handled her “mental health issues” and she said that this mental issue does not choose a status in life.
Heart always flashes her vibrant personality of social media. She is being admired on being positive and spreading this kind of energy to other people. However, there was a point in her life that she also went through gloomy days.
Based on the article from Bandera, during a recent interview, Heart said that she understands people who have mental issues because she went through the same phase in her life.
She admitted that she had panic attacks to the point that her body also suffered. The actress revealed that she also felt physical pain.
“Because my anxiety and depression was so bad I had physical pains. I had my mouth pain, my tongue pain, I couldn’t eat. There was no medicine for it. My hands and toes were numb and I would even twitch. I would twitch uncontrollably and I didn’t know that it was because of extreme @nx!ety,” Heart Evangelista revealed.
She explained that her mental health issues came from overthinking about what will happen in the future. “I was very depressed when I lost my twins but this one came out of nowhere. I didn’t have a problem. I honestly think that when everything was okay, something bad was going to happen,” she shared.
The actress also revealed that she went to seven doctors to have herself checked. Then, the therapist told her that since she is an overly active and creative person, her mind does not really shut down and it keeps on working.
Heart also admitted that she had a difficult time as the voices in her head were too loud. As she could not take it anymore, she did not feel ashamed of asking about this and got help.
“Wala ’yan sa ganda ng damit, wala yan sa ganda ng Instagram. Lahat tayo may pinagdaraanan,” Heart Evangelista stressed.
