PAGASA Says Northeast Monsoon To Affect PH Weather Condition

The state weather bureau PAGASA reported that the northeast monsoon would bring cloudy skies and light rains over some parts of the country.

On Saturday (November 21, 2020), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration reported that the northeast monsoon would continue to affect the country’s weather condition.

The northeast monsoon would bring partly cloudy to cloudy conditions with isolated light rains over Batanes and Babuyan Islands. Isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms are expected over the entire Visayas, Bicol Region, Northern Samar, Oriental Mindoro, Marinduque and Romblon.

The localized thunderstorms would bring partly cloudy to cloudy conditions with isolated rainshowers over Metro Manila and the remaining parts of the country.

The weather agency also warned the residents in the affected area to take precautionary measures for possible flashfloods and landslides during severe thunderstorms.

Meanwhile, the coastal water conditions over extreme northern Luzon would be moderate. Slight to moderate conditions are expected over Visayas, Occidental Mindoro, and Palawan including Kalayaan Islands as well as the rest of the country, according to the weather bureau.
