- K – Kelvin scale
- An absolute scale that can be obtained by shifting the Celsius scale by −273.15° in order for absolute zero to coincide with 0 K. It is recognized as the international standard for scientific temperature measurement.
There are other scales used to measure temperature, according to the website, namely:
- Rankine scale
- Named after William rankine, it is the other absolute scale used in certain fields of engineering.
- °Re – Réaumur temperature scale
- also known as octogesimal division, it was widely used in parts of Europe in the 18th and 19th centuries and was later used primarily to measure the temperature of mixtures during brewing, of syrups in the production of certain food products, and of milk during cheese making.
