Two Seamen Wounded After Hit By MPV In Ermita, Manila

TWO SEAMEN – Two men were recently injured after they were shit by a multi-purpose vehicle which then crashed the center island in Manila.

The incident took place at Kalaw Street, Ermita, Manila on Wednesday, according to a report from ABS-CBN News.

Investigations show that the multi-purpose vehicle (MPV) came from the driveway at a hospital when it suddenly it drove backwards until it struck a center island.

The impact also caused the vehicle to pass through the center island towards the opposite lane of Kalaw Street.

Along the way, it hit two men who were walking along the hospital driveway. They were identified as Romel Cayudo at Mark Anthony Caabas, who were both seamen.

Those who responded to the incident gave first aid to the victims who sustained injuries and broken limbs.

Based on the report, the driver of the MPV is under the custody of the police, with the former claiming that his vehicle went haywire, losing his control over it.

Probers are investigating further to determine if it was a mechanical or human error.

The driver might face charges for reckless imprudence resulting in physical injuries and damage to properties.
