Biden 6 Electoral Votes Away From Becoming President

BIDEN VS TRUMP – Senator Joe Biden won the state of Michigan inching him closer to the Presidency with only 6 electoral votes left.

Several news outlets and political analysts called this presidential race the most polarizing in history. Currently, Biden has 264 electoral votes while President Donald Trump has 214. Surprisingly, Biden won Michigan and Wisconsin, two critical swing states that Trump won four years ago.

As a result, Trump’s camp called for a recount in the states and even filed a lawsuit seeking to postpone voting in Michigan. Because of this, some said that Trump’s move to file the lawsuit was an act of desperation on his part.

Earlier, Trump had already announced that he won the Presidency even though voting was still ongoing. Furthermore, he even called to stop counting votes.

Rudy Giuliani, Donald Trump’s personal lawyer, stated that ballots in the cities such as Philadelphia were not being allowed to be observed or validated. Meanwhile, Eric Trump, the President’s son, accused Biden supporters of “trying to cheat”.

However, Trump’s chances of getting four more years in office depend on his leads in key states such as Georgia and Pennsylvania. According to an article from the New York Times, it’s in these states where Biden was narrowing Trump’s leads as vote counting continued.

Moreover, If Biden could retain his lead in Arizona and Nevada, the former US Vice President could win the election without Pennsylvania. Still, Biden himself told his supporters that he “feels good” about where they are. “I’m here to tell you tonight we believe we’re on track to win this election. I’m optimistic about this outcome“, he added.
