During the preliminary interview of Miss Universe Philippines 2020, the candidates were given a time to answer random questions from the panel of judges. The prelim interview performance of Miss Manila Alexandra Abdon went viral on all social media platforms.
The 25-year-old beauty went viral for how she answered the judges’ questions. She exuded good vibes amid the cold weather.
Even though she did not win the MUP crown, Alexandra Abdon won the hearts of lots of Pinoys with her confidence and humor during the preliminary round. She is now an internet sensation.
She was unfazed by the panel of judges and their questions. She casually talked about feeling cold during the interview. She even shared that she asked someone to turn off the air conditioning despite being outdoors.
“Pinapapatay ko ‘yung aircon kanina wala palang aircon. Sabi ko paki patay ‘yung aircon, so wala pala. Sige, dami kong chika,” Abdon said.

Memes about Alexandra Abdon circulated on social media sites such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and TikTok. Among the netizens who impersonated her was UAAP Season 82 courtside reporter Rain Matienzo, who is now known as TikTok’s “conyo girl.”

Rain Matienzo’s clip reached Alexandra Abdon. She then made a reaction video using her TikTok account and shared it on her IG account.
