Miss Bohol Pauline Amelinckx Defends KC Montero from Criticisms
KC MONTERO – The host of the Miss Universe Philippines 2020 pageant was criticized over his on-stage talk with Miss Bohol Pauline Amelinckx.
One of the most-awaited pageants across the globe is the Miss Universe. It gathers several of the most beautiful faces from different nations – all vying to bring honor to their respective country.
A lot of people really make sure they get to watch Miss Universe – whether at home, at work, or wherever they are. This prestigious pageant is usually held every December.
Prior to the international category of Miss Universe, countries are holding national pageants to determine their representative for the bigger event. Recently, Miss Universe Philippines 2020 was held.
The Top 5 contestants were Miss Iloilo, Miss Cavite, Miss Bohol, Miss Quezon City, and Miss Parañaque. Rabiya Mateo from Iloilo City was crowned as Miss Universe Philippines 2020. The following were the runner-ups:
- 1st Runner Up – Maria Ysabella Ysmael Martinez from Parañaque
- 2nd Runner Up – Michele Theresa Imperial Gumabao from Quezon City
- 3rd Runner Up – Pauline Amelinckx from Bohol
- 4th Runner Up – Kimberly Hakenson from Cavite
However, some negative circumstances took place after the Miss Universe Philippines 2020 was aired. KC Montero, the host of pageant, earned criticisms over his on-stage talk with Miss Bohol Pauline Amelinckx.
KC asked Miss Bohol how she’s doing to which she responded, “I’m doing good. Thank you for asking. How about you?”. To it, the host told the candidate that “no one ever asks” him questions.
Miss Bohol Pauline Amelinckx apologized and asked him if she must have not done it. KC Montero said, “It’s okay, I’ll go ahead and read what you’re supposed to comment on”. It earned him criticisms.
A lot of people tagged KC as rude and unprofessional over his on-stage talk with Miss Bohol. The Miss Universe PH 2020 host defended that what was aired was cut short.
