Young Teen Later Found Positive with COVID-19 After Being Shot by Riding-in-Tandem

CCTV footage caught the shooting incident where a riding-in-tandem shot a young teen the lead him to death, but later found he is positive with coronavirus disease (COVID-19).

In the report of GMA News, the remains of a 14-year-old boy who was shot by a riding-in-tandem on Tuesday night in Manila were immediately cremated after he appeared to be positive for COVID-19.

In the CCTV footage shown, the perpetrators shot DJ Cabilin while sitting in the covered court of Barangay 56 in Tondo, Manila. The victim was rushed to the hospital but died on Wednesday.

However, the victim’s family found out that he also tested positive for COVID-19 so he was cremated immediately. The victim’s mother is grieving especially since their head of the family has not yet returned home who allegedly wanted to see their child for the last time.

The police investigation revealed that the victim and his cousin were in the covered court to settle the stabbing complaint against him. The video shows the arrival of a motorcycle with two men on board.

It stopped and the rider got off and shot the victim who sustained bullet wounds to the head, the victim’s companion was also injured. Meanwhile, the Manila Police District (MPD) investigation shows that the shooting incident includes possible revenge and other quarrels with the victim.
