The GMA Artist Center released this warning to the public
The Kapuso talent management company, GMA Artist Center, warned the public against fake talent scouts and managers.
In the Philippine entertainment industry, the artist center of the Kapuso network is considered as one of the major talent management companies. Over the years, it has handled several prominent talents who successfully navigated their way in show business.
However, amid the pandemic, there are people who are using the bname of GAC for their own gain. Based on the article from Bandera, the GMA Artist Center gave a warning to the public not to easily trust people who are using the name of the talent management company.
Reportedly, there were suspicious social media account posing to be talent managers, talent counts, or someone who is from the artist center.
Those accounts are trying to encourage individuals to join a supposed online audition. It was said that the posers were asking private photos and personal information that will be used in a scam.
Here is the official statement from the GAC regarding this matter.
“GMA Artist Center warns the public of fraudulent personalities and/or social media accounts claiming to be its representatives in order to solicit private photos and information.
“For those who wish to send audition videos, you can send it to [email protected] Please follow online VTR mechanics and requirements.
“For reference, these are the ONLY OFFICIAL GMA Artist Center accounts: IG: @artistcenter; Twitter: @ArtistCenter; Facebook: @OfficialGMAArtistCenter; TikTok: @artistcenter; Email: [email protected] and [email protected].com.”
Meanwhile, the Kapuso network is set to launch new shows. The new episodes of Descendants of the Sun are set to be released starting on October 26. GMA has also announced that Sanya Lopez will do the series First Yaya that was first offered to Marian Rivera.
