PAGASA Releases Latest Weather Update for Saturday (October 17)

LATEST WEATHER UPDATE – The state weather bureau PAGASA reported that the ‘Habagat’ would continue to bring rains over some parts of the country.

On Saturday (October 17, 2020), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather updates in the country. The southwest monsoon would continue to affect the country’s weather condition.

The southwest monsoon would bring cloudy weather conditions with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms over MIMAROPA, Zamboanga Peninsula, Marinduque Occidental Mindoro and Palawan including Kalayaan Group of Islands.

The localized thunderstorms would also bring isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms over Bicol Region, and Northern Samar. The same weather condition is also expected over Visayas.

The Northeasterly Surface Windflow would bring cloudy conditions with light rains over Cagayan Valley, Cordillera Administrative Region and Aurora. Partly cloudy to cloudy conditions with isolated light rains are expected Ilocos Region and rest of Central Luzon.

The habagat and the localized thunderstorms would bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers over Metro Manila and the remaining parts of the country.

Meanwhile, the coastal water conditons over Northern and Central Luzon would be moderate to rough. The remaining parts of Luzon, Palawan, Visayas and Mindanao would have slight to moderate surrounding sea conditions, according to the weather bureau.
