Manila Mayor Isko Moreno shared his high school throwback photo as he recalled his younger years as “batang Maynila”.
Before entering the entertainment industry, Yorme, as what he fondly called now, lived a very simple life. It is common knowledge among showbiz fans that he was discovered when he was in a “lamay”.
Through his perseverance, he was able to pave his way to success in show business until he entered the world of politics. He served as a councilor in the capital city of the Philippines, then, he became the Vice Mayor.
Although he did not win when he ran for Senator, Mayor Isko was not disheartened to continue his public service and so he became the Yorme of Manila now.
He is among the mayors in Metro Manila with the highest approval ratings, especially amid the pandemic. Mayor Isko Moreno has been showing his love for his home city and for its people in various ways, just like the free mass swab testing in Manila.

Just recently, he recalled the time of his high school days. He shared a photo with his friends at school. “TBT mga Batang Maynila! Buhay Public High School,” he wrote in the caption of his Twitter post.
He also asked this question to netizens: “Meron ka rin ba picture ng mga classmates nyo?”
Some netizens also shared in the comment section the throwback photos that they have while some netizens expressed happiness to see his younger self.
