RR Enriquez Defends Angel Locsin Against Negative Comments Regarding Weight Gain
RR ENRIQUEZ – Former ABS-CBN artist RR Enriquez defended Angel Locsin against body shaming netizens
Recent photos of Kapamilya actress, host, and philanthropist Angel Locsin showing her obvious weight gain shocked a lot of people. Her current figure elicited mixed reactions from the online community.
Regardless of her willingness to help, some netizens would rather focus on her weight gain as seen in her latest photos that went viral on social media. There are also lots of people who defended the actress from fat shamers and one of those people was RR Enriquez.
Former Wowowee host RR Enriquez took to her Instagram account to defend Angel Locsin from body shaming netizens. She said she and Angel were not close, she only met her once during her guesting in Wowowee. She feels sad because the actress once again went viral for the wrong reason.
The ‘Darna’ actress has been preoccupied raising funds for COVID-19 mass testing and setting up tents for the frontliners but still, there are netizens who felt the need to comment on her weight gain.
RR Enriquez said she understands that many people are shocked but she’s disappointed with netizens who resorted to body-shaming right away. She advised Angel’s bashers to just move on from discussing the ridiculous topic because her weight gain might be one of the side effects of the meds she takes.
“You don’t know what she’s going through right now. Pwedeng may sakit, may iniinom na nag cause bakit sya nag gain ng ganyan.. And that’s part of life.. Kahit anong ingat mo kahit anong diet mo if bigla ka tamaan ng sakit na pwedeng mag cause para mag gain ka, wala kang magagawa.. Kaya huwag kayong maka tawa at pintas jan.. Baka mangyari din sa inyo yan. Importante mabuti puso nya. Wala syang tinatapakan na tao.. At kuntento sya,” RR said
RR Enriquez first became known as one of the dancers and hosts of the noontime variety and game show Wowowee. She also starred in the comedy show Banana Split together with Pokwang, Angelica Panganiban, and others.
