Lovely Dog Hugs People After He Was Rescued
A lovely dog expressed his gratefulness and won’t stop hugging the people who rescued him from an empty house.
The dog named Toro has been found from an empty house in Town of Hempstead Animal Shelter. The poor animal has been left alone inside the house for weeks with no food and water.
The poor pet was chained to the fence and could not go out to find its own food along the road. The dog is also scared of the people and volunteers who tried to rescue him.
The volunteers of Town of Hempstead Animal Shelter rescued the dog and witnessed how the poor pet appeared to be scared of people.
Eventually, the pitbull warm up after realizing that the people came to rescue him. After the rescue operation, the dog has started to give a lot of hugs to people everytime he gets out of the kennel.
Town of Hempstead Animal Shelter Kennel and placement supervisor Melissa Fogarty said that the shelter is hoping that ‘Toro’ will get adopted soon.
“I was probably one of the first people to take him out for an actual socialized walk when he came in. The hugging happened probably within 15 minutes of having him out loose in our side play yard. He just kind of crawled up to me, climbed on my lap, and pressed himself against my chest… from there it grew and now he hugs all his friends here,” Melissa said.
