Raffy Tulfo & Cheryl Cosim said this about Korina Sanchez & Ted Failon
TV5’s journalists Raffy Tulfo and Cheryl Cosim shared their reaction to the transfer of former Kapamilya journalists Korina Sanchez and Ted Failon.
Before the October 7 newscast of Frontline Pilipinas ended, Raffy and Cheryl had a short conversation on the air, based on the article from PEP. They talked about the contract between the Kapatid network and the Brightlight Productions that is having several blocktimer shows.
“So partner official ng Kapatid si Korina,” Raffy said to Cheryl who answered, “At ‘yan ang hihintayin nila kasi sabi niya di ba ngayong Oktubre ay she’ll be joining us. So dapat i-welcome natin.”
Then, Raffy asked who will be the next to transfer and his co-anchor answered jokingly, “Basta, hindi tayo mawawala, ha? Hahaha!”
Raffy responded to this and said that those in TV5 has no reason to be threatened because the new additions will even strengthen the news department. “Sanib-puwersa ang TV5 at Cignal. Dito lang ‘yan,” he added.
Both Korina and Ted have worked in the Kapamilya network for several decades. When the male journalist had to bid his goodbye from his home network for many years, he went emotional.
Korina, one of the vocal supporters of ABS-CBN amid the franchise renewal issue, expressed gratitude to the company and the people behind it. She also said that her transfer and her new show Rated Korina has a go signal from the executives of the Kapamilya network.
She and Ted, along with a bunch of Kapamilya artists will have a new home, for now, in the Kapatid network.
Meanwhile, prominent actor Aga Muhlach expressed a message to Kapamilya stars regarding the issue of network rivalry. He pointed out that there shouldn’t be a division in the industry and that should be allowed to work anywhere.
