Arnel Pineda Speak Out Over Younger Brother’s Arrest Due to Illegal Drugs
Rock band Journey vocalist Arnel Pineda speaks out over his younger brother’s arrest in Quezon City due to possession of illegal drugs.
Singer Arnel Pineda took Instagram to voice out regarding the issue where his younger brother Rusmon Pineda was arrested in a drug operation, Tuesday, in Quezon City. Arnel issued a message to those who criticized him a few days after his brother’s arrest.
In the said post, he said that there are useful things to do that should be more focused on other than the harassment on social media, while their identity is being hidden behind their screens.
“To the bashers who chose to cowardly succumb to prejudism and unkindness while hiding conveniently in the cloak of your keyboards & computer screens, there are more helpful & useful things to do, like facing your precious mirror once in a while.”
He also added that this kind of event can’t be considered a joke because this could possibly happen to them. “Who knows, you might find yourselves as imperfect as me, my family and everyone else,” he said.

Arnel, on the other hand, thanked his friends and fan who continue to support amid the challenges he is facing nowadays. He shared that he is grateful for the prayers and love being sent to them.
“To my real friends & supporters, who know that our friendship is eternally unbounded by time & space, you know who you are. Thank you for your prayers & love. You don’t even know how much all of you have hugely blessed us by sending kind & comforting words. May God be with you all always,” he said.
Arnel’s younger brother was arrested Tuesday night, October 6 after authorities have conducted a drug operation due to information given that Rusmon possessed and sells illegal drugs.
