PAGASA – LPA, Habagat To Bring Cloudy Skies, Scattered Rains Over Parts Of PH This October 6, 2020

PAGASA – Here are the following latest updates from the state weather bureau PAGASA, on this day, October 6, 2020 (Tuesday).

The early morning forecast from the state weather bureau says that the Low Pressure Area (LPA) was last spotted at about 555 kilometers east of Infanta, Quezon while the southwest monsoon will be affecting southern Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao on this day.

According to GMA News, the habagat and LPA will bring cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms over Visayas, Bicol Region, MIMAROPA, Zamboanga Peninsula, Bangsamoro and SOCCSKSARGEN. Flash floods or landslides may occur during severe thunderstorms.

Meanwhile, the northeasterly surface windflow or NESWF will bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains over Cagayan Valley, Ilocos Region and Cordillera Administrative Region.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country will face partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers due to localized thunderstorms and habagat, again, flash floods or landslides may occur during severe thunderstorms.

Based on the report, the bureau is currently observing an active tropical cyclone located outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR).

Tropical Storm Chan-Horn was last spotted at about 1,800 kilometers east northeast of extreme northern Luzon. It is packed with maximum sustained winds of 75 kilometers per hour and gusts of up to 90 kilometers per hour. It is slowly moving in the north northwest direction.

For the wind speed forecast, northern Luzon will have moderate to strong winds that are moving northeastward while facing moderate to rough coastal waters.

Palawan will have moderate to strong winds that are moving southwestward while facing moderate to rough coastal waters.

The eastern sections of central and southern Luzon will have light to moderate winds that are moving in the northeast to northwest direction while facing slight to moderate coastal waters.

The rest of Luzon will have light to moderate winds that are moving in the southwest to southeast direction while facing slight to moderate coastal waters.

The rest of the country will have light to moderate winds that are moving southwestward  while facing slight to moderate coastal waters.
