PAGASA – Two LPAs, Habagat To Bring Rains Over Visayas This October 5, 2020

PAGASA – Here are the following latest updates from the state weather bureau PAGASA, on this day, October 5, 2020 (Monday).

The early morning forecast from the state weather bureau says that two Low Pressure Areas, as well as the Southwest Monsoon or habagat will bring scattered rains over Visayas and seven more on this day.

According to GMA News, the monsoon and LPA will bring cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms over Visayas, MIMAROPA, the Bicol Region, Zamboanga Peninsula, Northern Mindanao, BARMM, SOCCSKSARGEN and Quezon. The bureau warned that flash floods or landslides may occur especially during severe thunderstorms,

Meanwhile, the northeasterly surface wind flow or NESWF will bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains over Ilocos Region, Cordillera Administrative Region, and Cagayan Valley.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country will face partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers due to localized thunderstorms andhabagat.

Based on the report, the two LPA were last spotted at 360 kilometers east northeast of Virac, Catanduanes and 425 kilometers west of Sangley Point, Cavite City, respectively, at about 3 AM.

The bureau is also observing a tropical depression outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR).

The said weather system, which is nearly stationery, was last spotted at 1,790 km east of Extreme Northern Luzon. It is packed with maximum winds of 55 kilometers per hour and gusts of up 70 kilometers per hour.

Northern Luzon will face moderate coastal waters, while the rest of the country will face slight to moderate coastal waters.
