Aklan Gov Says Boracay Tourists May Get Up To 75% Discount

BORACAY TOURISTS 75% OFF ROOM RATES – Following the reopening of Boracay, Aklan Governor Florencio Miraflores says tourists may get a huge discount on room rates.

Due to the coronavirus pandemic, the tourism industry in the Philippines was severely hit. Among the most affected was Boracay which was close since March because of the lockdowns.

Naturally, this was a needed decision as tourist travels may cause another outbreak of COVID-19 in the country. However, as more and more areas in the Philippines lowered their lockdown status, Boracay finally reopened on October 1st.
