Jodi Sta Maria and Raymart Santiago’s past marriages
Newly-revealed couple Jodi Sta Maria and Raymart Santiago are still “legally married” to their ex-partners.
Raymart was married to Optimum Star Claudine Barretto. However, their separation went controversial and their legal battle unfolded before the public. A previous report stated that Claudine was planning to file a case against Raymart for not supporting their children financially.
As of press time, the annulment of the ex-couple was postponed and has not been finalized. Meanwhile, Jodi Sta Maria was married to Pampi Lacson in 2005 and in the same year they had their son Thirdy.
The actress was the one who filed the annulment citing psychological incapacity as her reason, based on the article from The Asian Parent. A Regional Trial Court declared their marriage “null and void” in 2014.
However, the case was elevated to the Court of Appeals in 2016 and the decision of the RTC was junked. The actress filed a motion for reconsideration. Unfortunately for Jodi, the court did not side with her.
The past marriages of Raymart Santiago and Jodi Sta Maria were recalled as they were spotted together in an intimate dinner. When asked about this, the actor did not deny but refused to divulge the details of his relationship with the actress.
Prior to their relationship, Raymart was in a relationship with Ayala Executive AC Legarda for four years. Their breakup was not known to the public.
Meanwhile, Jodi Sta Maria was previously with actor-politician Jolo Revilla. Their breakup created a loud buzz in the entertainment industry as the reason for their separation was not clearly pointed out. Jolo is now married to beauty queen Angelica Alita.
