Navy Reservist Head Discovered Inside Styro Box in Manila

A head allegedly owned by a navy reservist was discovered inside a styro box in Sta. Cruz, Manila on Thursday night.

According to the report of GMA News, tricycle drivers Jerwin Mirabueno and Jun San Diego found the styro box in the middle of the street along Florentino Torres Street near Siler Street.

The Manila Police District said the two were riding a tricycle when they saw the box and decided to inspect. But both were shocked when a head of a man greets them.

The victim was identified as Oliver Ignacio, a traffic enforcer and also a Navy reservist resident of Navotas City. The victim’s identity was determined with the help of her cousin Marie Anne Esguerra.

According to Esguerra, Thursday afternoon when she received a call that her cousin was allegedly abducted while he was in the impounding area in Navotas. She also allegedly received on his social media account a picture of the victim.

She immediately went to the police station to report the incident. Following this, she was accompanied by the funeral authorities, and there, she identified her cousin. The MPD is still investigating the incident.
